If you pry the plastic cap off the VX-3 knobs there is a coin-slot adjustment just like the old Vari-X III or the VX-2’s. Stoney Point knobs or their Chinese copies fit and function as expected. These look to be a giant step above that. Can’t wait.

just ordered 2 sets 3 to 4 weeks out. I was told to just pry the adj cap of the vx 3 off, the vary x III will just fit the coin slot. we shall see

I take it there is a knob for the wind??

You are sure that they were made by displacement of metal rather than removal? No matter, it is a good idea that deserved and needed to be publicized.
