Seen actions that are not square to the stock.
From a leveled stock, vertical cross-hair to a plumb line at 100 yards is my way.

Plumb line at 100 yards works for me – along with a good level to make sure the scope rail is parallel to the ground before aligning the scope reticle to the plumb line.
