Me and my dad shot the BC target rifle championships a few yeats ago as preparation for the world police and fire games that where shot at the same range a few years later. I especially remember the last day I shot in the first relay 600 meters 9:00 am, the morning mist was just gone, hardly any wind and not warm enough for mirage. I was bracketed with two German Canadian brothers of considerable age and expereriance. Everything was perfect and so was my score. I ended up winning that match and ended up with a very nice medal. We’ve also shot on the other side of the rockies in Alberta and that’s also a very nice range in the foothills of the rockies but the General Vokes range is absolutely beautiful. Well worth the trip from the Netherlands. And I would very much like to return someday. The BCRA folks are so welcoming, it was a great experience.

Definitely the most beautiful range in North America. It is too bad that the events are poorly advertised (mostly word of mouth) and the BCRA match organizers eschew participation in on-line forums and discussions and do not even publish their directors’ names or titles
