It’s funny, I’ve been reading the Donaldson book and a lot of old “benchrest” and varmint rifle stuff recently.

Seems nothing now is an innovation, those guys back in the teens-40s pretty much tried it all.

I’d think the same bullet barrel-surfaces still contact each other the same ways. Barrel droop from gravity would seem to be the only affected variable.
