I wanted to thank Dennis for helping out in the pits for SAFS. I started shooting the Games in 2008 but started volunteering for the CMP/Creedmore event over the last 4-5 years. Primarily my job has been working the pits. The Ben Avery Range has been around since 1957, it has changed hands a few times but is now managed by AZ Game and Fish. That cardboard was new 2 years ago and what they try to do is use it for 2 years and retire it with a fresh new target. Cardboard is not cheap so in trying to keep costs down they use it as long as possible. Considering the financial investment the CMP and Creedmore put into sponsoring these games (without making profit) cardboard is not their primary focus but you guys having a good time is. Please let them know if you have any issues with the way things are done. In 2017 we are being told the electronic targets are going on the road and may be in Phoenix. This should be a blessing to some but maybe a curse to others. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year God willing.

Love the cantilever type target frames. In typical cmp fashion the cardboard is old and weathered, needs to be replaced.
