Believe it or not the thumb hole stock on this rifle is illegal in ny and considered a assault rifle. The other stocks are ok. Ridiculous law.

I second that on the trigger. Various unintended fires caused me to literally give my Savage away out of total frustration. Even tried a Rifle Basix and it wouldn’t even work (worked with the owner of that company for over an hour on the phone and when he gave up I RMA’d it). Savage makes interesting products, and excellent price points, but they seem to have some fatal flaw. In my book, the trigger is #1.

Great to see a real stock. Now if we could just get a real trigger I might consider buying one again.
