Editor: Sam, most good optics are purged and weather-proofed. However they also contain internal springs, seals and other components which can expand/contract with temperature, or corrode. If you&#039;ve got $1000+ (or more) invested in an optic, don&#039;t leave it out in the wet garage or subject it (on purpose) to freezing/thawing or temperature extremes. The same thing is true for your GPS units and other electronics.]]></description>
