It COULD have resulted in fatality but it was NOT nearly a fatality. There is a finel line between symantics and sensationalism. By the method applied to achieve ‘nearly fatal’ here, I could say I was ‘nearly killed’every time I pass a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. Terrible situation? Absolutely. Nearly fatal? How many bullets struck him? Just saying.
