August 2022 update:

Joined a 1,000 yard club last weekend. Had to shoot qualifying first.

3/3 cold bore at 422 yards.

3/4 at 615 yards; first shot I opted to hold high on a 5.15 mils estimate; sent it over the plate. Dialed down 1/10th mil and hit it 3/3.

20" barrel with 175-gr. Berger OTM handloads.

If you can still find this rifle, just buy it!

I bought one in .308 after Christmas when Cabela's had it on sale. Added an older but new in the box Bushnell DMR 3.5x21 scope, Seekins rings, and a Seekins muzzle brake.

I hand load Lapua brass, Varget powder and Berger 175-gr. OTM. My last two groups at 100 yards, five and six shots, were .360 MOA and .390 MOA, at 0.025" and 0.060" off the lands (still experimenting).

The McRees chassis is phenomenal and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This rifle is an absolute dream.

I purchased the bronze Cerakote version in .308 with stainless steel barrel. I am by no means a master marksman but I can probably shoot 1/2" MOA with the gun. It's also my understanding that of the 400 produced only 50 were in the bronze finish. I love the gun.

TikkaPerformance.net claims to have them in stock.

You could also save yourself $200 and be able to use AICS mags if you buy a Tikka CTR and the McRee chassis separatly. You could also recoup some money in selling off the original magazine.
