It would appear that the anti-gunners are achieving their goal of nation-wide gun control by acting in only a few states at a time, rather than all-at-once nationally.By disarming the country a few states at a time, the less likely that they would face a public uprising (armed) by the entire country at one time…divide and conquer. Those of us in gun-friendly states will eventually find ourselves outnumbered and surrounded by anti-gun states.To retin our gun rights we must remain united. As ben Franklin said, “we must hang together, for surely we will all hang”.

What was not mentioned in this article regarding SB 1235 is the supposed “ban” on Internet sales. As I read the text of the legislation, Internet sales are NOT banned entirely. They can still occur if done THRU an “authorized ammunition vendor”. I’m concluding that from this text:

“30364. (a) The sale, delivery, or transfer of ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face transaction with the seller, deliverer, or transferor being provided bona fide evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee, provided, however, that ammunition may be purchased over the Internet or through other means of remote ordering if an ammunition vendor in this state initially receives the ammunition and processes the transfer in compliance with this article, Article 3 (commencing with Section 30345), and Article 4 (commencing with Section 30355). An ammunition vendor is required to promptly and properly process those transactions. An ammunition vendor may charge a fee to process the transfer not to exceed ten dollars ($10) per transaction. Confusing to me is the repeated use of this introductory text in the “LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST” – that digest title appears immediately below this heading/line, “[Approved by Governor July 01, 2016. Filed with Secretary of State July 01, 2016.]”

“The proposed Safety for All Act of 2016, to be submitted to the voters at the November 8, 2016, statewide general election, if enacted would…” – how is this law if the associated Act has yet to be voted on?

In response to lee and others who don’t live here; we have single-party rule. Control of both houses, the Governor’s office, and the Federal 9th Circuit. They can, quite literally, do absolutely anything they want, and that’s exactly what they are doing. Next year is expected to be worse.
