Two things, guys want to get away from BMG size actions. And I feel from all the years of internal ballistics work there is a so-called sweet spot in the proportions of case diameter to length, as how it affects barrel/action harmonics. Ie whether gentler harmonics or more violent.

And for the 2 mile shoot you have to be able to carry everything up there by yourself.

The fatter the case like necking down BMG, which to get what I feel are the right proportions would have to be longer, means that to keep gentle harmonics the gun has to be so heavy it wpild be two man carry. The right harmonics will keep the groups tight, consistent. Less barrel heating...Ed

Ed here- Mitch has fired some cases 6
times and primer pockets are still ok.
I feel that the extra working of the
brass in heading the case for belted
heading die makes heads little tougher

Others have mentioned that on some of
smaller cases at pressures needed
pockets.loose after 2-3 firings.

So I'm pleased cases are of that quality.
For which I really thank Bertrams.Ed
