I don’t think LED lights put out any heat. Not that it matters to me, my safe is in an unheated building, and I run a small heater inside it….it’s 30 below here for much of the winter…

Not my idea but Lowe’s and Home Depot and Lowe’s sell closet door jam switches. Just a push button that when door is closed it kills the light. For $15 and it’s easy to install. Living in the south I don’t need the extra heat from the light being left on all the time. If your in a colder climate I like the idea of leaving them on 24/7.

Looks like the fella knows how to put up lights in his safe but can’t mount a bi-bod the correct way.

Either way… It’s nice to have lights in the safe.
