I live in central Ontario, Canada. My passion is shooting .22LR at distances of 200-300 meters. My rifle is an Anschutz 64 MPR with a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20X50 scope. My private “range” is a friend’s open farm field. My firing point is at the brow of a gently sloping hill with white painted steel targets at the bottom. I can see my hits through the scope (at 20X) and hear them as well. There is ALWAYS wind, but good wind reading practise, especially for a .22. I shoot here all year round from a sturdy portable shooting table, bipod on the rifle and rabbit ear bag under the butt. With this set-up, I can keep most rounds grouped comfortably in the centre of a 12" steel disc at 250 meters. Not much better fun than this, in my view.
