3. taxes and the cost of doing business here are about 1/3rd of their current location.

Texas is perhaps the most central location with a very business friendly attitude/tax structure. There’s several locations offering highway/rail facilities for sale or lease. We’ll even offer honorary citizenship…..Ya’ll come to see us!

A move to the central US from a production and shipping cost standpoint would be logical. Too bad the last US lead smelter in MO closed 3-4 years ago. That would have made the decision easier.

Overall, this is a positive event for shooting. I look forward to both the expanded production capacity and R&D. As to the move to a more favorable manufacturing locale, I think this is a trend we will see more and more for mid-size California companies in many industry sectors not just firearms related manufacturing. It’s really the cost of doing business that drives that decision.

As a Arizona resident ; and weekly shooter at Ben Avery , I would love to see Berger re-locate to the Phoenix area . Since “Our” gun laws are basically the 2nd Amendment , it would be a refreshing change for them from dealing with the oppressive , anti-gun regime in Commie-fornia . Along with the tax breaks , jobs , and built-in customer base .

Best thing they could do for shooters is lower the cost of the bullets. $50-$60 dollars a box is too much. IMHO

Because…. why pay taxes to an oppressive state? Also, I’m sure the their cost and overhead would be less.
