I want a DULL THUD!! That's the smaller white 10 Ring plate! The black bull comes as a WHANG! I'm seldom off the black except maybe if the wind is whipping up around 20 mph when I'm shooting from 1000 yds. Actually it's not necessary to hear the hits as at anytime except the middle of the day when the mirage is bad the hits can be seen through a good 25X spotting scope. The FRAME weighs 500 not counting the large plate or the bulls! Moved into place with my front end loader! If one wishes to hear the hits...real simple to put a small two-way radio in a box attached behind the main plate with an open Mic and then another one with the shooter on the firing line! Comes thru really well!
