Bittersweet – sort of glad to hear this. I’m a lefty and want one of Tikka’s Stainless Varmint with the heavy barrel. Apparently these are like the rainbow unicorn. I’ve been searching the distributors since last fall and there aren’t any. All I can find is a plethora of last year’s T3 Lite. Any caliber you want but the barrel contour is lite. Thinking that if I’m desperate, I’ll buy the Tikka and then spend another 50% to turn it into a rifle they already make – allegedly.

Many years ago, if not now, this company supplied Weatherby Threat Response Rifle heavy contour barrels. Mine from 15 years ago can be held to the light and peered down, as you would inspect the paint of a car, with zero waves, bulging, or spirals so often visible in barrels. Of course the inside was as flawless as you’d expect, but barrels that are perfect on the inside AND the outside are pretty rare.
