I took my late neighbor to his dermatologist for several operations. He had half of an ear left. My brother, a road worker, looks like he is a leper, along with another one of my neighbors. Their forearms look like they have been burnt with acid. All from sun exposure.
I work outside. Everyday i wear long sleeve shirts, gloves, hardhat, and sunscreen.
I started a job in Stl in mid June of last year. We had a relatively cool spring. Then summer arrived with a vengeance. 4 people died in the construction complex I was working on in the first 4 days. Never even made the local paper.
We have to take care of ourselves and learn from each other. Thank you for your story and the best of luck!

People think about putting sun screen on their face but seem to “resist” putting it on their neck (harder to reach, gets on and discolors shirts and t-shirts) but, after three basal cell cancers removed from my left ear and two spots behind and below my left ear, think exposure during driving – every day driving (to work, school, etc). Please!

If you have a questionable spot on your skin, don’t wait 8-10 months for your next annual Dermatologist visit. Get it looked at NOW. If you wait, it may become a much larger problem.
