I’m pushing these [well over 2850 fps] in my Creedmoor with Reloder 19 (literally a full case), but found a SD of just under 4 with a 9fps ES with Superformance. These will stabilize out of an 8 twist if you’re pushing them over 2800 fps. Length is 1.5″. Accuracy for me has been outstanding. Now if I could get some more of them….

Has anyone tried this in 26N? I’m having one custom made, but the barrel I have is 1:8. Given that it’ll be around or over 3000fps is it possible these would be stabilised well enough?
Any input would be fantastic, thanks!

What is the length of this bullets (6.5 150 grs MatchKing)?

I want to run it though a barrel twist rate calculation in order to calculate what the stability factor will be if used in a 1:8 twist rate barrel.

Tsk…tsk…tsk. @ Richard . My .308 likes the 155 SMK Palma quite well . Getting my fair share of X’s with them on a regular basis . And working on the 175TMK & 195TMK loads at present .

And BTW ; My rifle doesn’t like any Berger bullet I’ve tried in it yet . I’ve got boxes of partials in my cabinet…And I’ll keep trying to make them viable till they’re gone . The “Flavor of the Month”, ain’t always !

Just because a certain brand of bullet doesn’t work in some guns , doesn’t make it a rotten bullet .

“Underpowered” is relative. Many of us want a load that is 1) consistent 2) stays supersonic to 1000 yds 3) minimizes ind drift 4) has manageable recoil for long Shooting strings and ease of following bullet trail 5) decent barrel life. When you add all 5 of those factors, what is “underpowered”? I would say a 6BR with 105 gr @ 2850 is not underpowered. Nor is a 308 with 200 gr @2600. I would say they are just about right!

Will a 1-8 twist barrel stabilize these ? I have seen they say 1-7.5 or faster . Really keen to give them a try if they send them to Aussie land

With the date being 10-13 I had to double check this article but its legit. Ye I am going to try this in my 6.5×47. 2750fps is plenty of speed for me. All the nay sayers need to remember that the 308W is underpowered too but plenty of us run 200gr bullets in them.

That failed for being too heavy for caliber and having too long a bearing surface.
