I carried a 1911 most of my 29 years in Law Enforcement.

I just loaded 1000 of those 185 Nosler with 6.0 grains of VV320. What a great load!! My other go to load is 6.5 of VV340 behind an HG68. This is a lead semi-wadcutter bullet. They can now be had with a polymer coating. The ones from Bayou Bullets are the absolute best!! Loaded to 1.270 they feed in most .45 pistols with no problem.
