A few myopic teachers not earning enough to even qualify for a 4% house mortgage versus a multi-billion dollar arms and ‘outdoors’ industry with high interest business loans? Sounds like the AFT should talk to those in their ranks who teach math, statistics and economics.

Deaths by arms ~10,000/year, many of which are suicides.
Death by automobile ≥ 40,000/year
Deaths involving prescription opioids: 60,000 and climbing.
Death by heart disease and cancer > 600,000/year combined.

There’s energy better spent elsewhere. Critical thinking owns.

Delete your facetwit-er, turn off the “news,” think for yourself.

Has any one else noticed the increase in violence with social media. There seems to be a correlation between it and school shootings and violence.

It is the NRA that has to change. It must become more democratic and it’s leaders challenged in open and clear voting.
They must get away from the kind of politics that is narrow and one-sided. It seems to be totally dominated by one man at the moment, and that can never be good for any organization.

Almost 18 months ago we decided not to sell a Q.M.M. rifle to anyone who WAS NOT an NRA member – but we would purchase a membership for them if they wished to join. Our business has declined by nearly 50 percent. Shameful. If we do not stand together, we will fall apart.
