Now my shots are accurate when I use the mandrel after re-sizing. Then I use the Lee neck sizer and it is perfect.

Yep, been doing this now for years with new brass (only step besides flash hole de-burring) before brief corn-media cleaning then prime & load. Same for last sizing step w/ fired cases after bushing sets neck diameter to 0.001" smaller than I prefer for loaded rounds.

I don't use bullets to form my brass. I use Bullseye and a wax plug. That leaves only a very very small amount to expand and the necks are about .005 longer as they don't shorten as they do when expanding with an expander. Just my way.

Editor: Butch, thanks for your tip. In this case we are not talking about going up from a smaller diameter (say e.g. 22 to 6mm). We are only talking about running the same caliber mandrel -- a 6.5 mm in a .260 Remington for example. When doing that the shortening is minimal.
