I was squaded with him, and he may not have been top 10%, but he could shoot. That match had some of the best marksmen in the world.

He did carry it all day, but only shot off it on a couple of stages.

Pretty funny ( and typical) that some of the top marksmen in the world had no problem with it, but the top marksmen on the internet are up in arms.

Is this a leftover from the editor’s April Fool’s efforts?

Back in the day when I was an active tactical long-range competitor we had only two rules: (1) The maximum caliber allowed on our range was .338, and (2) you could use ANY equipment you wanted as long as you could carry it on your back for the full course of fire (about a mile and half, from the butts out to 1000 yards and back again). That second rule would eliminate nonsense like this.
