I traded an HK USP chambered in 40S&W for a virtually new 617 last year when a fellow I work with asked me about trades. I was reluctant at first as that HK was the first-ever autoloading pistol I’d ever bought but then I took his 617 to a local range to try it out. 100 rounds later I’d wished I’d brought more ammo… he got the HK the next day.

Editor: Interesting — I owned an HK USP .40 sw Compact. Sold it when I got out of that caliber. It was pretty accurate, but I don’t miss it one bit. I ended up selling all my polymer-framed pistol, though I still have an HK P7m8 — that’s a gem.

And revolvers showcase workmanship in steel, literally hard to do. Old school talking here, but there’s something to be said about the gun, and its shippig case, not resembling each other in the least bit.
