I shot a cow elk at about 100 yards with a Sierra Gamechanger just a few days ago. It was the .308 dia. 165 gr. bullet with 56 grs. of H4350 loaded as a 30-06. The bullet went right through the heart leaving a fairly small hole on each side. I did not recover the bullet. I have seen other brands of bullets do much more damage to an animals heart. I posted three photos of the heart at https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/sierra-gamechanger.205661/page-2

This is a pretty exciting announcement in my opinion. They look like a solid option to try. I think Sierra's misstep is not bonding the core, however. Advertising this round as having "excellent penetration" puts them at competition with bullets that are almost all bonded.

I just loaded some of these up for my tikka ctr 308. I didn't have much time but only after 4 trial powder/seating depth combinations, I ended up with a one inch 5 shot group at 200 yards. 42.5 grains of imr 4064 got this gamechanger to exit my 20" barrel at 2648 fps. I plan on tweaking this load to shrink the group just a little more.(I have a 155 AMax load that shoots .5 at 200 yards)

I'd like to see detailed terminal performance comparisons using same velocity and distance to target but with different barrel twist rates.

I always found that 69 grain SMKs from a 1:7 twist were much more effective than anything from a slower twist barrel... but I've never seen a detailed or formalized test.
