Sounds like sour grapes from a bunch of negative old farts.
The young bloke won and he should be praised for that NOT dragged down.
You want the sport to grow be part of the solution not the problem.

Bill's comments are exactly correct. I shot many years at Camp Perry.

The REAL World Shooting Championships just concluded in Changwon, Korea. The U.S. did well, check out the results at USA Shooting. What the NRA is promoting here is nothing but a glorified 3 gun match.

Wow another year of the NRA running the "World Plinking Championship" in WV all the while their own National Championship attendance records continue to decline. Over the last 10 years the NRA has mismanaged their Pistol, Smallbore, High Power, Long Range and silhouette championships.

The NRA smallbore championships at Camp Perry up to 2013 had between 600 - 700 participants after their "brilliant" move to the sub-par range in Bristol, IN last year they had less than 200. When I shot XTC at Camp Perry Highpower Champiomships there were more than 1K participants and last year there were less than 150 at Camp Atterbury, IN.

Must be nice to put money into an event where being an expert requires hitting an area instead of actually training and learning to hit a target. The definition of marksmanship per the NRA 2018.
