The 6.5x47 is without a doubt a much more inherently accurate cartridge then the Creedmoor. Just look at the Average SD numbers on this page. Scroll to the bottom of the article. https://precisionrifleblog.com/2018/12/14/rifle-caliber/

It's almost as hard picking a cartridge as a stock in the stock market. I ordered a 6.5 bbl from Bartlien with the M40 contour. I have a Remington 700 true action,PTG BOLT,.308 win Shilen #7 (7lb) bbl on it.I have 6.5 Creedmoor Redding type S die set.I'm disabled so I ONLY CAN shoot off a bench. I've thought of 6.5x 47 but Now after reading and research it looks like 6 BR Norman might be a round but if I can get groups as tight as the one in this article I have a Savage 12 FV IN 6.5 CREEDMOOR. I WANT THE BARTLIEN BBL DO I CAN SWITCH FROM .308 TO 6.5 CREEDMOOR OR ?? 6.5 ×47, 6.5X.284 (SAVAGE TARGET FOR AROUND $1,300. IF I BUY ANOTHER RIFLE) OR A 6BR NORMA.YOUR advice would be appreciated as I'm fairly new to shooting paper after hunting with rifles then a bow.

I'm very satisfied with my 6.5 creedmore. But it's hard for the average American to afford something like that. I love shooting the distance and the 6.5 is perfect choice.

I have a one on a new savage left hand action w/pac nor stainless fluted bull barrel shoots Berger 140 bullet
It's a excellent tac driver. Building another right handed 700 action stainless pacnor for my son on a laminated Richars stock. Love the caliber.

Yeah but what was the SD and ES numbers? I’ve shoot one enlarged group at 100 yards with high SD numbers that wouldn’t shoot at distance. Matter of fact SD of 21 ES 42 stopped typing to look it up. Btw measured with a magnetospeed
