And the most interesting part of this entire anti-gun hysteria , which of course , the Lame-stream media never speaks of , is that all but one of the recent “Mass-shooters” , was a registered Democrat . Who do you think the founding fathers were, the political right??
If they had been they would have stayed under a King and not fought the revolutionary war. Claiming gun ownership is exclusively for conservatives and right-wingers is insulting to millions of Americans.

EDITOR: Your statement is totally misguided. No one is claiming gun ownership is only for conservatives. But any sane person realizes where the true threats to gun ownership are coming from.

The question is not should all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, be able to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Of course ALL law-abiding American adults should have those rights.

The issue is rather identifying real, significant threats to gun ownership and use, and identifying what forces are behind those threats. There is no question that virtually ALL the anti-gun legislation is coming from the political left, specifically one party. To ignore that fact is simply stupid. That is like worrying about a Tsunami arriving from the inland desert instead of from the ocean. Identify the REAL threat and its source. All you have to do is look at the party affiliations on the bills discussed in this article. A 4-year-old can figure it out.

Nothing political in addressing and pointing out democrats/socialist/communist intentions of taking away our 2nd amendment rights and confiscating our firearms. If you remain silent and are scared to discuss this infringing on our right to bear arms with your friend,neighbors, a complete stranger or someone on this or any other site you are giving into their plan. This may very well be our last chance to defend our God given freedom, our liberties and the way of life that so many of our forefathers and ancestors fought and died for. Good info. relevant & references a political sea change. Gresham: “We spend money.”- pretty vague. How about supporting the NRA with a $ donation.

Insofar as the general (non-shooting folks who outnumber gun owners manyfold) public is concerned – shooting is top of mind + newsworthy only when some nut shoots people w an AR styled rifle. There is no news reported in the major media when your uncle bags a nice buck w his .270. Thus, the only information most read, hear is that all weapons are deadly, and are to be marginalized, then taken away – i.e., “common sense” restrictions- with no real consideration of the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. Many persons in government have no shooting experience, are living in cities where this lifestyle is not familiar, and further, they are not comfortable with guns, so “no one needs to have them”. Support the NRA and hope that SCOTUS will honor the Constitution vs the current anti gun du jour rhetoric.

Any messed up human who wants to kill innocent people with a gun will do so regardless of the laws.
Murder is already illegal, therefore a gun ban will not stop innocent people from being killed by evil people. But on the other hand a gun ban will stop innocent people from having a way of protecting their lives and the lives of others.

Whatever happens, DO NOT REGISTER YOUR GUNS !!!!!! You might not be able to take your unregistered guns to the range, but you will still have them.
