The article is a little misleading. The photo is of Ron Zerr shooting a Tubb 2k in the match rifle category.

The excerpt about the AR-15 service rifle doesn’t not include a picture. SSG Morris’ rifle would conform to the Service Rifle rules as written.

Editor: The photo is clearly labeled as being from a different TEAM match. Unfortunately that is the only image we were able to access. There will be a follow-up full report on SSUSA.org in a few weeks.

Would love to know what his gun setup was. Article says AR15 type service rifle, but it clearly does not conform to the requirement for Picatinny rails. So, “Match Gun”? What fore end tube, scope, scope ring/mount base, butt stock, fore end hand stop? Hey we’re gear guys. He didn’t win because of his equipment, he won because of his skill, but inquiring minds want to know!
