I agree that they didn’t hit the “crossover” market as this would be a very poor PRS gun but IMO they might have appeal to hunters that like chassis ergonomics but don’t like the weight of a chassis gun. When you look at the feature set: 6.5lb, adjustable in every way, switch barrel, folding stock , sub 0.5min accuracy, action/chassis one piece then the price isn’t bad at all. Only time will tell if it’s a hit or miss.

I think SIG Sauer may have a winner here. Why? Well for every guy who actually competes in PRS or NRL matches, there are probably 50 guys who like this modular/tactical look, but will NEVER compete. Those 50 guys have no need for a 25-lb comp gun. They get the PRS look without the added mass. This Cross design means the gun can be carried easily for hunting and varminting.

So you want them to do less?
They have to start somewhere and the group that did this has many many years of experience and many years to fine tune the design. Will it be perfect? Nothing is ever perfect. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have three on order right now. Expensive! with a street price of around $1450. Not hardly.

My impression is that at least with this iteration they are trying to do too much at once. It is too radical and likely too expensive for most hunters. And it’s about 1/3 to 1/4 the weight of a serious PRS rifle. They tried to build a rifle that will be attractive to multiple markets, when in reality it will likely not be attractive to any of them.
