I don’t need a new cartridges I need is more components for the ones I all ready have!I’ve hunted for the last ten years with a 450 marlin,and have taken ten decent bucks with it ,,,I just stalk closer,I’m 67/now if I can get closer so can you!my other favorite is the 350 Remington magnum,good out to 300 yrs I know I’ve killed bucks that far!During remington 200 brain rem.foreplay bullets

We have far to many different cartridges now! I’ve seen very good ones come to market only to be dropped in favor of some new super duper cartridge that offers mouthing new,save maybe faster twist rate witch would work better on existing cartridges with out the need for more types of brass,,,he’ll the ammo companies can’t make enough of the all ready established ones!

Just being able to change twist rate in 277 cal is the improvement. 1-7.5 browning & 1-8 Winchester m70 Now just do it to the 270 win would be Awesome!

Note that the 3000 fps MV for the 277 SIG FURY is from a 16″ (sixteen inch) barrel. With a normal 22-26″ barrel that MV jumps to well over 3200. We need MUCH more info on “brass” availability, most importantly, whether the “washer” needs to be replaced between reloads. With the neck wall thickness less than a 308 Win (SAMMI), wildcat opportunities galore!!! And the standard bolt face. Had SIG not dropped their one-and-only .338 LM rifle offering, that would be a stellar opportunity for this tech. Bottom line, WOW!!!

Curious about the 6.8 Western necked up to 7mm. PRC and RCM cases are a bit too long for a 700 short action. Have been thinking about shortening one of them but this may by just what I’ve been looking for without having to form brass.

Also curious about the 6.8 Sig in conventional receivers. Read somewhere that 700’s had been tested and were fine. Guess only time and additional testing will tell.

6.8 Western might have actually been usefull for something had it used a 6.5 and or 7mm projectile.
