Not all of Illinois, but especially Cook County (Chicago). If you are pulled over there for any reason, they will confiscate your firearms and tell you that you can hire an attorney to get them back. Consequently, when I visit friends in Illinois, I go a hundred miles out of my way to circumvent Cook County.
