I suspect the components, including brass, aren’t up to the job right now. They aren’t interested in losing matches. It doesn’t pay to use something that doesn’t get the job done.

They all flock to the same, or essentially similar, cartridges. The accuracy reputation of a cartridge — given, yes, appropriate fundamentals for the task at hand — is a product of time and attention.

If the accuracy community were to give time and attention to newer commercial cartridges like 6mmARC or 6.5 Grendel, there’s no technical reason those two wouldn’t dominate the target disciplines currently won by the 6mmBR and its wildcats. But commercial cartridges are too easy….
