instead of the seemingly nowadays Odd 6.8 caliber. goal of lighter ammo than 7.62×51
and flatter trajectory would be met without the “trick, expensive bimetallic cartridge case.
Yes, the old 270 was and still has popularity and there has been a 270-08 wildcat around forever….
