I always laugh at the volume of a "suppressed" pistol in the movies and on TV. The only firearms that I own that will get that quiet are .22 rimfire rifles. With my suppressed 10-22, the loudest noise the shooter hears is the action functioning. The centerfire firearms get quieter, but the best I have measured with a suppressor installed is 133 decibels with a .223 Rem AR. Sound muffs or earplugs are a lot cheaper once you get over .22 RF, lol.
