Testing primers all at one and the same charge level, will only yield the optimal primer for that charge weight.

Regarding the procedure, 500 yards is a lot of condition to shoot through. I would have liked to have seen a video of the flags that were used and how they looked during the shooting. On the primers, one thing that may help readers in this time of hard to get components is that the CCI 550 primers (small pistol magnum) are identical to the CCI 400s only in different packaging. I checked this out thoroughly.
