Meet F-Class Team USA Members at Capstone Booth

F-TR Team USA won the 2017 F-TR World Championship.

Join members of the USA Rifle Team to learn about F-Class, what you need to get started and what resources are available to help you learn more. This session will be held by the leaders of the United States F-Open and F-TR Rifle Teams. Made up of over 40 members, the team will be traveling to South Africa in 2021 to represent our country. Team members will be at the Capstone (Lapua/Berger/Vihtavuori/SK) Booth #4517 at 10:00-10:30 a.m., each day May 4, 5, and 6.

Pyramid Air Gun Range

Pyramyd’s Air Gun Range was a hit last year in Atlanta and is set to be a top destination for the entire family at the 147th NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas. With 16 stations and more than 200 hundred interactive targets, the range will provide shooters of all ages the chance to try out some of the newest and best airguns available. One NRA range officer noted: “If you see a long line there [at the Dallas Convention Center], odds are that it’s for the air gun range. We have boys and girls, moms and dads, everyone waiting to plink the day away.”

Celebrity Appearances

At Vista Outdoor, Booth #7530, show attendees can meet pro shooter Julie Golob, online personality Hickok45, and 2d Amendment advocate Colion Noir. Golob is the first and only woman to win U.S. national titles in all seven of practical shooting’s handgun divisions. She has more than 50 world and national titles to her credit. Golob will appear in the Federal Premium booth from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, May 5. With more than 3 million YouTube subscribers, popular online gun tester Hickok45 is sure to draw a crowd. He will be at the booth from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, May 5.

Gun collector affiliated clubs have been exhibiting their finest collectible arms at the NRA Annual Meetings since 1954. The National NRA Foundation Banquet & Auction will be held May 3 at 5:00 pm. The NRA-ILA Leadership Forum take place May 4 in the Convention Center Arena. This year’s Leadership Forum brings will feature a powerful lineup of pro-freedom speakers, including Vice President Mike Pence as the keynote speaker. The Annual National Firearms Law Seminar, the largest gathering of Second Amendment attorneys in the country, runs Friday morning, May 4.

We know many of our readers will attend the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits next week in Indianapolis. There is plenty to keep you busy, notably hundreds of industry vendors displaying their latest firearms and shooting-related products. But if you can break free from the guns and accessories in the Exhibit Hall there are some interesting seminars you many want to attend. First, Chris Cheng will explain his experiences — how a Google techie became the Top Shot Season 4 Champion. Second, 3-Gun Ace Travis Gibson talks about the rapidly growning sport of multi-gun competition. Tips, Tactics and Techniques to Shoot Like a Pro

Description: Chris Cheng, Top Shot season 4 Champion, tells his own personal underdog story of how a tech support worker at Google with very little firearm experience beat out 17 accomplished shooters and claimed the title of TV’s “Top Shot.” Hear anecdotes about the show and join Cheng as he discusses what it took to beat the odds and how you can train and prepare to shoot like a pro.

Seminar: 3-Gun 101
Date: April 25 at 11:00 am and April 26 at 11:00 am

Description: Take aim with the fast growing sport of 3-Gun! Speaker Travis Gibson demonstrates what a typical 3-Gun match looks like at the club, regional and national levels. You’ll learn how the events are scored and the various types of target presentations that you will experience with rifle, shotgun and pistol. Travis will also cover equipment requirements with you for each division and discuss the gear needed for those divisions. If you’re looking to get your started in 3-gun competitions, you should attend this seminar.

Seminar: Methods of Concealed Carry

Description: Tom Marx, a former police officer, and experienced Concealed Carry trainer brings his extensive and in-depth program to the Annual Meetings. This is a serious, four-hour lecture and demonstration program, intended for both officers and civilians. Marx covers all the key subjects guns, ammo and holsters, clothing, carrying environments, physical conditioning, and women’s issues. The lecture follows a segmented, building block approach so that those who cannot attend for the full four hours, can still leave (or come and go) with solid points to take home and put to use in their daily lives.
