The 2025 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits kick off today. The big event runs April 24-27, 2025, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The NRA expects tens of thousands of attendees. The event includes speeches, seminars, exhibits, and a large, 14-acre exhibit hall where gun manufacturers and other vendors showcase their products. This Thursday the 24th there are Ring of Freedom member gatherings and the Wall of Guns opens for viewing. The full Exhibit Hall opens Friday morning, April 25th.

There will also be music events including a big show on April 26th with country music stars Big & Rich performing in the Sidney Marcus Auditorium.

SHOT Show 2024 concluded 1/26/24, but another big shooting/hunting event is right around the corner, and this time the public is invited! (SHOT Show is restricted to outdoor industry personnel and media). The Great American Outdoor Show runs February 3-11, 2024 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This 9-day event celebrates hunting, fishing, and the outdoor lifestyle.

The show features over 1,000 exhibitors with booths and displays covering 650,000 square feet of exhibit hall space. At the Outdoor Show you’ll find firearms and optics makers, hunting outfitters, fishing guides, and RV experts. NRA Banquet on Thursday Evening
The Friends of NRA Banquet will be held Thursday, February 6 in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex’s Preferred Ballroom. The night of entertainment begins with doors opening at 6:00 pm. Attendees will have chances to win firearms, merchandise, and tailored hunts. This banquet raises money for national, state, and local programs that support America’s shooting heritage.

“Nine Acres of Guns and Gear — Are you ready?” Those were the words of NRA President James (“Jim”) Porter as he announced the official Opening of the 143rd NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits. Porter then cut a red ribbon — with a little help from Brenda Potterfied and Eliza, her granddaughter (see photo at right).

During the opening ceremony, Porter told the waiting crowd: “As you walk around the exhibit hall today, keep this in mind — this is where freedom lives.” Along with NRA President Porter were NRA 2nd Vice President Pete Brownell, Executive Director of NRA General Operation Kyle Weaver, NRA Treasurer and CFO Woody Phillips, MidwayUsa’s Brenda and Larry Potterfield, and NRA Secretary Major James Land.

After an exciting Opening Day of the NRA Convention, things heat up on Day Two, Saturday. Here are Six of the Major Happenings at Indianapolis today.

1. The Annual Meeting of Members

The NRA’s Stand and Fight Rally, the major event of the weekend, brings big names to the Lucas Oil Stadium for a Saturday night to remember. After leading political figures speak on behalf of gun rights, legendary country group Alabama (with 34 Billboard Country #1 hits) takes the stage.
