Low-Cost 6.5 Grendel Ammo
The 6.5 Grendel is derived from the 6PPC necked up to 6.5mm. Popularized by Alexander Arms, the 6.5 Grendel is optimized for the AR15 platform. Fired through a dedicated 6.5mm upper, the 6.5 Grendel lets AR shooters employ a heavier bullet with excellent ballistics and downrange energy. For quite some time, Alexander Arms has offered loaded 6.5 Grendel ammo built with premium Lapua brass and bullets. That is great stuff, but a bit pricey at $24.99 per box. Now Grendel shooters have an alternative. Alexander Arms now sells low-cost 6.5 Grendel Ammunition made by Wolf. Priced at just $9.97 per box of 20, the Wolf ammo is loaded with a 123gr softpoint bullet that packs enough punch for deer-hunters. The round, which runs about 2600 fps, is also well-suited for target and varmint use. Wolf 6.5 Grendel ammo is also available from MidwayUSA for $11.99 per box of 20, item 449268. To learn more about the 6.5 Grendel, read our 6.5 Grendel Cartridge Guide, or visit 65Grendel.com.

Where can I get 6.5 grendel wolf for $9.97?

I’ve had a bad experiance with the Wolf Gold in the 6.5 Grendel. First 100 rounds I ever bought, had about 30 of them loose the primer out of the cases (when fired).
Anybody else ???
John
The Wolf I tried blew primers, too. I’m handloading Lapua brass.
Midway has Wolf 123gr and the Alexander Arms 90gr but are back ordered on all the other 6.5 Grendel ammo as of 10/3/08…
Hopefully a major ammo breakthrough will come as I finally bought a 20″ 65 Grendel by Sabre.
I just got it put on my Bushmaster lower and applied the Leopold MK 4 4.5X 14 today… Very nice gun, great overall package… It may keep my AR-15 5.56 and LR 308 in the gun case for good as it seems to be the answer to both in regard to power, flat & accurate shooting and lite…
Keep up the pressure as the 65 Grendel cartridge is the solution for the US military, but we will all be reloading if it doesn’t catch on.
Alexander arms is completely OUT of Wolf
Golden 6.5 Grendel ammo. I was told it might be back in stock around April of 2011..
I will never buy Wolf ammo,I know the price of 6.5 grendel sucks but if you really want to enjoy the best assault rifle round ever made, you have to pay
They call it “wolf” ammo for a reason:It will get you howling mad, and bite you in the butt if you let it. Why spend big bucks for the hottest ar round and then feed it poop??? Spend the extra $$ and really enjoy your rifle!!
