If you’re on a tight budget, Lyman offers factory overstock products at bargain prices — up to 50% off MSRP. Right now you can pick up the original version of Lymans’ Digital Trigger Pull Gauge for $39.95 (product #7832248Q). This is listed on MidwayUSA for $54.99. The newer version, which is a light gray color with a slightly different housing, costs $69.99. The $39.95 Trigger Pull gauge is factory new and tested. Here’s a sweet offer from Browning. Purchase any new Browning firearm at retail price from April 1 thru April 30, 2011 and Browning will reimburse you up to 8% in U.S. funds for the sales tax. We like Browning’s reasoning for this promotion: “Uncle Sam has picked your pocket all year long. Now is the time for some [tax relief]”. To get your sales tax refund, fill out the Browning Tax Relief coupon and mail it in, along with a copy of your sales receipt. CLICK HERE for tax relief coupon.
Participating Browning dealers should have flyers and coupons available at their stores. Or you can download a PDF version of the flyer by clicking the image below. NOTE: This offer is available only in the USA, and Buckmark pistols are excluded.

What should you buy? Here are some suggestions:
X-Bolt Composite Stalker: Browning’s X-Bolt series is an affordable line of hunting rifles with adjustable triggers, 60°-lift bolts, and detachable rotary magazines. These guns have glass-bedded receivers and free-floating, hand-chambered barrels. Sixteen (16) different chamberings are offered, from .223 Rem all the way up to .338 Win Mag. Street price on the Composite Stalker is about $750.00.

T-Bolt Target Varmint: Browning makes a sweet, nice-handling rimfire varmint rifle with Browning’s unique, straight-pull T-Bolt action. This is offered in .22 LR, .22 Magnum, and 17 HMR. T-Bolts come in both right-hand or left-hand versions, with wood or synthetic stocks. Street prices on T-Bolt rifles range from about $500.00 to $650.00, depending on configuration.

Here’s an amazing deal if you need a large supply of .224-cal, general purpose bullets. Wideners.com is currently offering a 6000-count bulk pack of 55gr Hornady FMJBT bullets. The price is just $475.00 including FREE shipping. That works out to just $7.92/hundred or less than 8 cents per bullet!. These bullets sell elsewhere for $13-$15 per box of 100.
The cannelured, secant-ogive, 55gr FMJBT bullet was designed to duplicate the performance of military M193 ammo. The deep-penetrating FMJ design is also good for hunters wanting to preserve the integrity of game pelts.
The 55gr bullets ship in a 6000-count bulk pack with free shipping. Who needs 6000 bullets? Well a club or training group could assemble low-cost training ammo with these bullets. Or, two or three varmint-shooting buddies might want to join in on a “group buy”.

Powder Valley is running a great Wolf Ammo Special right now. All Wolf rifle ammo in .223 Rem and 7.62×39 is just $5.00 per box of 20 rounds. This Polyperformance ammo features polymer-coated steel cases (non-reloadable). The polymer coating ensures smooth feeding and extraction. In addition, the coating helps prevents the steel cases from leaving marks on your shiny metal parts or painted stocks. Note that Wolf ammo has a 100% performance guarantee. If you are not satisfied, Wolf will refund the pro-rated purchase cost of the unused portion of your ammo. Can’t argue with that.

Disclosure: Powder Valley Inc. advertises with AccurateShooter.com.

If you need to stock up on practice handgun ammo, Natchez Shooters Supply is running a 5-day sale on CCI Blazer Ammo. The sale starts today (4/6/2011) and ends Sunday, April 10th at 11:59 pm Eastern. Sale includes: .32 ACP, .38 Spl, .357 Magnum, .380 ACP, 9mm, 40 SW, 10mm, .44 Magnum, .45 ACP and more. IMPORTANT: CCI Blazer ammo is made with aluminum cases, so the ammo is NOT reloadable.
This Editor has shot thousands of rounds of Blazer ammo in many calibers. The only problem I had was with some .380 ACP in a Sig p230 that had the hammer spring lightened at the factory. This ammo uses CCI primers which are harder than Federal or Winchester pistol primers.
Here are some of the best deals:
CCI Blazer 32 ACP 71 gr TMJ Ammunition 50rd box. Price $19.36, reduced from $22.77
CCI Blazer 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ Ammunition 50rd box. Price $8.99, reduced from $11.09.
CCI Blazer 40 S&W 165gr TMJ Ammunition 50rd box. Price $12.99 reduced from $17.55.
(Editor’s Comment: Excellent 40 SW ammo. Very Accurate, Reduced Recoil.)
CCI Blazer 10mm Auto 200gr TMJ Ammunition 50 rd box. Price $22.75 reduced from $28.82.
Bulk-Pack CCI .22 LR Ammo also on Sale
In addition to the pistol ammo, Natchez has bulk-pack 40gr .22 LR ammo on sale. This can be used in either rifles or pistols. This is good “plinking” ammo at a great price. For the next five days, a 525-round box is just $15.95, reduced from $31.46. Hard to beat that. Natchez claims this is the lowest-priced .22 LR Ammo on the market.

MidwayUSA is running a great Spring Sale right now with prices slashed up to 50% on Midway-brand merchandise including pistol cases, range bags, rifle cases, drag bags, shooting mats and more. Some of the most popular items, such as the black version of the Competition Bag we reviewed last year, are sold out already, but you can place a back-order to lock in the super low prices. Here are some recommended sale items:
MidwayUSA Pro Series Competition Shooting Mat — Olive Drab
Product #: 276544
Price: $49.99 marked down from $99.00 (Great Deal!).

MidwayUSA Pro Series Tactical Rifle Gun Case 47″ PVC Coated Polyester Olive Drab
Product #: 216038
Price: $44.99 marked down from $69.99 — Great Bag for the price. Recommended.

FYI guys, people loved this pistol case (above left) at $14.99, and for $7.99 you cannot go wrong. Read the MidwayUSA buyer reviews. These are typical:
“The best pistol case you can buy for the money. I bought two and wished I bought five.” — Kevin S.
“I bought two of these cases, one in each color. They are absolutely fantastic and a bargain. The case fits 7 magazines, a full sized pistol (I had no problem fitting a 6 inch Ruger Mark III Hunter into one), has 2 large rear pockets for ammunition or other things[.] Each pocket can fit 100 rounds of .45 ACP but it can also fit 4 sleeves of 100 ct. of CCI Mini-Mags per pocket.” — Nikolay B., NY.

On defensive handguns, we like the option of an easily-activated laser sight. Lasers assist training and help you get your rounds on target even in low light conditions (when sights aren’t visible), or when you are not able to raise the gun to a normal sighting position. The laser gives you the ability to direct fire accurately even when you don’t have the time or ability to acquire a normal sight picture.

EABCO.com has a selection of Lapua factory-loaded ammo on sale at super-low prices — about 40% off current retail. These are older supplies of ammo that have been sitting in inventory for a while, so Eabco has cut the price dramatically to move it. Keep in mind that the price of Lapua brass has risen dramatically in the last couple of years, so this loaded ammo has become more attractive. Eabco has the Lapua 6mmBR 77gr HP loaded ammo on sale at $24 for 20 rounds, or $1.20 per finished round. Consider that you may now pay $0.80 per piece of Lapua 6mmBR brass. So, another way to look at it is that this ammo is worth about $16.00 per box… just for the brass.
Special Lapua Ammo Inventory Clearance Sale — Limited Quantities
Eabco tells us: “These are odd lots of loaded ammo in 20-round boxes. Some may not be the most popular bullet weight or style, so the price is much lower than our regular line of Lapua ammo. But this is all first-rate ammunition, made from total Lapua and VihtaVuori components. Quantities are limited. When these lots sell out, we won’t have more.”
- 810-4316034 – Lapua 6.5×55 Swedish Ammo 100 gr. FMJ (20 rounds) $24
- 810-4316048 – Lapua 6mm BR Norma Ammo 77 gr. HP (20 rounds) $24
- 810-4316051 – Lapua .243 Win Ammo 90 gr. FMJ (20 rounds) $24
- 810-4317183 – Lapua .308 Win Ammo 170 gr. FMJBT (20 rounds) $29
Many Other Bargains at EABCO ‘Garage Sale’
If you are looking for other discount gun parts and reloading accessories, check out EABCO’s ongoing “Garage Sale”. Here you’ll find stuff like scope bases, lens covers, press parts, snaps caps, plus odds and ends. There are even a couple custom rifles for sale along with a Vintage Cessna Airplane. Check out the Garage Sale — you may find something you need for pennies on the dollar.

CDNN Investments recently released its new 2011-1 Catalog. As we’ve come to expect from CDNN, the new catalog is full of deeply-discounted pistols, rifles, shotguns, optics, magazines, gunstocks — plus myriad other gun parts and accessories. CDNN typically buys overstock or obsolete inventory from manufacturers and then resells these items — often at prices way below normal retail. You should download the 2011-1 catalog and see for yourself. Along with the firearm bargains, we found some amazing deals on shooting accessories. Here are a few…
Sllencio Ear Muffs Just $4.69
First, CDNN is offering Silencio EarMuffs for just $4.69 (or $3.99 for 6 units or more). If you help run a gun club or junior shooting program, and you need a large quantity of ear muffs — here’s your opportunity. You can buy a dozen muffs for just $47.88. Stellar deal.

Quality Kydex Holster for $9.99
Next, CDNN offers Uncle Mike’s molded Kydex straight-drop holster for just $9.99. This Editor owns this very same holster and I use it for general range practice and IDPA matches. I really like the straight drop which allows the holster to be used in multiple strong-side positions as well as cross-draw. This holster fit my Glock perfectly (way better than a $95.00 BladeTech holster I used to own). Don’t be fooled by the low price, this is a very good holster, with a better fit to the gun than many $100 holsters. Check the advert for availability for your Glock, Beretta, HK, or S&W M&P. If you can’t find a CDNN sale item to fit, you can normally get these holsters for under $22.00 at gunshops.

Better Grip for Your AR — Just $14.99
One of the first things many AR15 shooters do is replace the standard plastic pistol grip, with something that fills the hand better. One of our favorite replacement grips for AR platform rifles is the MFG Grip from Israel. Much more ergonomic than the standard grip, the MFG was originally developed for Israeli Special Forces. It features a stippled back, finger groove, and an internal storage compartment with trap door. It’s on sale at CDNN for just $14.99.

Hi-Viz 52″ Rifle Case Only $18.99
The last item that caught our eye is a Burnt Orange 52″-long plastic rifle case. This Plano-made gun case is lockable and airline-approved. Why would you want a bright-colored rifle case? Well, at a well-attended match you’ll often see dozens of virtually identical rifle cases. If your case is orange while all the others are black, there’s less chance someone may walk away with your rifle by mistake. And Airport thieves are less-inclined to grab a bright-colored case that is easy to spot at a distance.
