North America’s top female action shooters converged on St. George, Utah recently for the Brownells Lady 3-Gun Pro-Am Challenge West Match. Dozens of competitors from the USA and Canada attended this event which featured some amazing stages. Check out the video of the Roller Coaster Stage — bet you never saw anything like THAT at a shooting match before. (This Roller Coaster side-match raised funds for Urijah Smith, a two-year-old boy suffering from cancer.)

Interesting fore-arm on this AR-type rifle. That’s an elaborate pattern…

Nice article but you’ve got one major fact wrong. Pete Brownell did not establish this match. The concept and all the development work came from Lisa Marie Judy. I recently retired from Brownells but was in charge of sponsorships for Brownells at the time Lisa came up with the idea. She was working as an RO at the South Eastern 3-Gun and I was shooting. When I got to the stage she was working, she pulled me aside and asked if I thought Brownells would be interested. I said “Yes, we’ll be the title sponsor.” I came back from that match and told Pete I’d signed us up for it. He thought it was a great concept and idea, but it was all Lisa along with support from Kay Miculek and some others that saw the value. Lisa Marie put her heart and soul into this match and should be given credit.
