Major U.S. Companies Cut Ties with National Rifle Association
In the wake of the recent school shooting in Florida, more than a dozen major American companies have cut ties with the NRA. These companies have stopped offering special discounts for NRA members, halted affiliate programs, or otherwise stopped providing services for the NRA and its members.
Big companies such as Delta Airlines and Hertz have responded to calls for a boycott against the NRA by eliminating discount programs for NRA members. And the First National Bank of Omaha announced it “will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.” Notably, the Chubb insurance group stated it would stop backing the NRA Carry Guard program.
USA Today reported: “Major companies with ties to the National Rifle Association suddenly shed ties to the pro-gun-rights interest group amid intense scrutiny over the Parkland, Florida school shooting. The breakups were swift amid a billowing cloud of scrutiny on social media[.]”
The NRA criticized these actions as “a shameful display of political and civic cowardice” by large corporations. The NRA added: “In time, these brands will be replaced by others who recognize that patriotism and determined commitment to Constitutional freedoms are characteristics of a marketplace they very much want to serve.”

So much for my NRA VISA card with First National. Looking for another VISA provider that is not anti-NRA. Options?
I’m so glad that they published the names of these spineless companies. Now I know who to NOT use for all my needs. I honestly hope this does not happen but I want to see there faces when another incident just like this one occurs. I really hope their actions really hurt their bottom line. After all that’s the ONLY thing they care about!!!
Can anyone explain to me why NRA is to blame every time something bad happens? Did NRA tell this guy to take a gun and kill children? Does NRA promote criminal behavior? FBI screwed up, sheriff’s deputy screwed up, but NRA is to blame. It’s like blaming AAA for every major car crash.
Try not to support any on the companies boycotting the NRA.
Try JPMorgan – Chase . After BofA had their little tantrum and refused to serve McMillan and other gun companies , my wife and I decided to move everything from BofA . Five separate accounts and mortgage . Chase was more than happy to accept our business .And said they had “Zero” issues with the NRA , Second Amendment , or my personal “Gun Account” .
Thanks for the list. Each business on that list has competitors. With whom I will do business.
Thanks for the list. What they don’t get is that boycott’s work both ways. I’ll be happy to use someone else for these services listed, and I hope everyone else does too! Stand together!!

I never took advantage of the NRA discounts, when I used some of the companies boycotting the NRA anyway, but now that I have and know the names of those that are, I will no longer spend any money with them, which is way more than the discount they would have gave me. Let’s use the boycott, which can work both ways, to our advantage. Every NRA member and even the sportsmen and women that are not members should boycott those businesses and not purchase or use any of their products/services. Let’s see who spent the most money with them, Us or the protesters. As they say “Let’s Roll”
In order for any of these companies to truely know their position is not acceptable, each of us who care must let each of them know by of our decision by calling them, sending letters and emails, otherwise they never know their actions have real consequences if we fail to give a voice to our actions and decision not do business with them.
what is NRA status about idiots buying guns?
doing tests to see mental health or constitutional right?
Just signed up with USAA for a VISA card. As soon as I have that card in hand the “NRA”/First Nat card is in the shredder, actually as I am having an appropriate telephone call with First Nat Customer Service, “listen to the shredding sound!”
I’m boycotting these companies.
I won’t forget either.
I just cancelled four (4) reservations with Best Western and rebooked with a competitor. I then wrote a message to Best Western Customer service telling what I had done and why. Its one thing for pressure off of social media which I understand is often BOT’s. It is another thing when a customer cancels reservations.
Money doesn’t talk, it screams.

Companies are not boycotting the second amendment. They are boycotting the NRA’S interpretation of the second amendment, and it’s present rather odd leader.
Let’s keep in mind that many, many companies not listed here, may have consciously chosen not to align with NRA members, in the first place. These companies apparently are ending ties, but at least they had beneficial ties, earlier.
It would be ironic if in trying to avoid these companies, members of the NRA drove business to competing companies that never once cared, or have even quietly denounced the NRA historically.
Mr. Lawson – NRA’s “interpretation”???If you have specific grief with the NRA (or its leadership) “interpretation”, speak up. Your suggestion is fodder for those that do NOT support the Second Amendment. In any case, seems to me that those companies are boycotting the NRA and, by proxy, Second Amendment advocates. I decide what is right for me to protect myself, my family, and my property, not the government – the government that can NOT and will NOT be there at the moment of threat.
