A color printer serves many functions for shooters. You can reprint web articles, output load data, print range maps, and even produce your own colored Shooting Targets. Inkjet color printers are inexpensive to purchase. However, the price of factory OEM ink cartridges can quickly bust your budget. Our Epson C60 printer cost under $100.00, but a pair of Epson-brand ink cartridges (one for black and a second for color) runs nearly $60.00!
Here’s a solution. For as little as $3.00 per cartridge, InkQuik.com offers 100% compatible replacement cartridges for all popular inkjet printers. We recently purchased Six (6) cartridges for under $25.00 total cost delivered. That’s six cartridges for less than the cost of a single Epson-brand black ink cartridge. InkQuik.com also offers regular OEM cartridges for less than you’d pay at most retail outlets.
Speedy Delivery and 100% Functionality
Oregon-based InkQuik.com promises rapid delivery. We ordered our cartridges on a Wednesday and they arrived in California two days later in Friday’s mail. That’s fast!
The cartridges worked perfectly. There were no software or hardware glitches — the printer recognized the InkQuik cartridges as the “real deal.” The ink quality is as good or better than the factory product. We had zero problems, but if you do, InkQuik.com offers a 30-day, no questions-asked guarantee.
Using InkQuik replacement cartridges can easily save you $100.00 or more annually on printing supplies. We recommend this service for anyone who uses inkjet printers.

Lester Bruno of Bruno Shooters Supply contacted us recently and told us he acquired twenty (20) Remington 700 ADL short actions with .308 bolt face and black, matte finish. Lester noted: “Nobody else has this particular configuration in stock right now at a decent price — you can find .223 actions, or long actions, or magnums, but the .308 short action with safety is hard to find.” These 8″-long actions feature a right bolt, right port, .308 bolt face with ejector pin, 1.350″ chrome moly body. The actions include factory top right safety with bolt-release trigger. The actions will work with 6BR, .243 Win, .308, 6.5×47, 260 Rem, 7 BR and other calibers taking a .308-sized bolt face.
Bruno Shooters is offering a special deal on the actions. Price for a basic action, including factory trigger (but no trigger guard) is $425.00. Bruno’s also offers the action in “trued form” for $525.00. Bruno’s does the blueprinting in-house for the $525.00 action. This includes lapping the lugs, truing the action threads, squaring off the face of the action. NOTE: Trueing must be requested when ordering the action. FFL required for delivery.
We expect these actions to sell quickly. Contact Bruno Shooters’ Supply and ask for Item REM-6 for $425.00, or item Rem-6-BP for $525.00. Call (623) 587-7641 or 1-800-455-0350. Hours are Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm and Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm.

Now through March 31, 2008, MidwayUSA has Ramshot X-Terminator powder on sale for just $10.49 per pound, marked WAY down from the $20.49 regular price. X-Terminator is a double-based, high-energy ball powder that is designed for the varmint hunters who demand a clean burning powder. X-Terminator’s small, spherical kernels meter easily and precisely, so this is a good choice if you plan to load a large quantity of ammo on a progressive press. X-Terminator has a burn rate similar to Accurate 2230, Hodgdon H322, and Win 748. X-Terminator is well-suited for the 222 Remington, 223 Remington and 22 BR cartridges.
Note, the sale price does NOT includes a $20.00 hazmat charges and $9.99 special handling fee. You may want to combine your order with fellow shooters to “amortize” the hazmat fee over a larger quantity of powder.

While the focus of this site is precision rifles, this deal was so attractive we had to let you guys know. CDNN is offering nearly-new Remington 870 Wingmaster shotguns for just $189.99. From what we were told, most of these were demos that didn’t sell because of the short 18.5″ barrel combined with the blaze orange stock. The hunters wanted a longer barrel and the “home defense” buyers preferred black.
Well, for someone looking for a home defense shotgun, or a truck gun, this would work great. Heck it even comes with the handy SpeedFeed stock. There’s no rule after all that a defensive shotgun has to be black. If you think about it, when you’re grabbing for a shotgun in the middle of the night and its dark, maybe it’s not a bad thing that the stock is easy to see. And if you really, really need the matte-black tactical look, just get a can of Krylon and paint the furniture.
The Remington 870 is an extremely reliable shotgun with a legendary history. You can easily (and inexpensively) add a longer barrel and use this gun for duck hunting or trap shooting. This editor’s brother shot a Rem 870 Wingmaster for years at a local trap club and regularly outscored shooters with much more expensive shotguns.
NOTE: You won’t find this special sale item on CDNN’s webstore. You need to download the latest CDNN catalog in .pdf format. Or simply call CDNN at 800-588-9500.

The HuntingNut.com website offers Point Blank Ballistics and Reloading software free of charge. That’s right, the program is absolutely free, forever — not just for a trial period. We use Point Blank all the time, not just to calculate come-ups and windage for our rifles, but also to compare ballistics among various chamberings, or to compare different bullets. With Point Blank it is easy to just change your bullet BC value and instantly see the effect on windage and drop. Point Blank will even calculate muzzle energy and recoil force. Point Blank will also hold all your reloading info in a built-in database. You enter the caliber (chambering), bullet, powder, velocity, and other important variables. Then you can quickly access hundreds of different load combinations.
CLICK HERE TO download PointBlank Reloading & Ballistics Software v2.0 (ZIP Archive).
(Note: this 1.13mb file is for Windows computers; you need WinZip or other program to unzip the file archive.)
You can even use Point Blank to plot your shots on a test target. This way you can easily compare the accuracy of different “recipes” during load development. You can record up to 10 shots per target.

We just found this in the latest CDNN Investments catalog. Act quickly. When we called at 11:00am Pacific Time on 2/25/2008, CDNN had sold six (6) CZ 452s this morning and had just five (5) left. Call 1-800-588-9500 to order.
At $409.00 (regular price), the CZ 452 is a fine value. At $279.99 it is a steal. You get a nice walnut stock, excellent accuracy and reliability. The trigger can be brought down to about one pound with an inexpensive Brooks Trigger Kit.

For someone just getting started in reloading, who wants a functional, yet inexpensive set-up, MidSouth Shooters Supply is offering a Lee Breech Lock Challenger Press Reloading Kit for just $89.99. This features a Challenger press with Lee’s New Breech-Lock inserts (3 Breech Lock Bushings supplied with kit). We like the Breech-Lock System–it holds your dies solidly in position, yet you can swap them out with just a quick one-third turn of the die. It’s a smart feature for a single-stage press.
The Breech Lock Challenger Press features an all-steel linkage, and a very handy tube-type primer catcher. Midsouth’s $89.99 Challenger Press Reloading Kit includes the Lee Auto Prime, Auto Prime shell holder set, Pefect Powder Measure, Safety Scale, Powder Funnel, Case Cutter and Lock Stud, Chamfer tool, Sizing lube, Small and Large Primer Pocket Cleaners. This is a heck of a deal for all that equipment. Lee’s suggested retail price for the Breech Lock Challenger Press Kit (item 90030) is $144.98.
There is an excellent review of the Lee Breech Lock Challenger Press Kit on Realguns.com. This review has nice, large photos, and clearly illustrates how the Breech Lock system functions.

If you’ve ever used a borescope to inspect a rifle barrel, you know how valuable these tools can be. No other device lets you see the true condition of your barrel’s lands and grooves, from the throat all the way to the crown. For many of us the question isn’t whether we want and need a borescope, but whether we can afford one. Luckily, MidwayUSA has made it easier to acquire a quality Hawkeye borescope. Currently, MidwayUSA is offering a special 17″ Hawkeye Borescope “Limited Edition Kit” for just $639.99. That’s about $110.00 less than the regular price for the Deluxe Kit. The more expensive model comes with a fitted aluminum case while the Limited Edition Kit ships in a cardboard box.
Standard features of the economical Limited Edition are a 17″ precision stainless steel optical tube with advanced fiber optics, 25x magnification, high intensity (H.I.) light source with batteries, and 90-degree mirror tube, which provides a full 360-degree view of the bore’s interior. This borescope accommodates 17 caliber and larger with the standard mirror tube, and 22 caliber and larger with the 90-degree mirror tube. Optional accessories are a 90-degree eyepiece, and a rechargeable Nova light source which is 8 times brighter than the standard H.I. light source. NOTE: the Limited Edition Kit does have a 90-degree mirror, but not the 90-degree viewing eyepiece. You don’t want to confuse these two components.
MidwayUSA has the Deluxe Hawkeye Borescope Kit on sale for $719.99 through the end of February. This is $30.00 off the normal $749.99 price. The components are similar to the Limited Edition Kit, but the Deluxe Kit includes a high-quality, lockable aluminum hard-case. The 90-degree angled eyepiece, Midway item 181455, costs an additional $274.95, and fits both Deluxe and Limited Edition models.
