New Savage Arms’ Products Revealed on Facebook Today
Today, Savage Arms will post previews of its new 2012 product line-up throughout the day, starting at noon Eastern Time. Items will be posted one-by-one. For the “first looks” at new Savage guns, go to Savage’s official Facebook Page, http://www.facebook.com/savagearms. We will publish the new product descriptions here, as they are revealed.
NEW Item Five: Model 11/111 Lady Hunter
The New Model 11/111 Lady Hunter has a female-friendly geometry that features a shorter length of pull, higher comb, shorter reach from pistol grip to trigger, slimmer fore-end and lighter front-end weight.
NEW Item Four: Left-Hand Model 220 Slug Gun
For southpaws, Savage had added a left-hand model 220 20 gauge Slug Gun. Suggested retail is $549.00. This seemed to stir quite a bit of interest among Savage’s Facebook fans.
NEW Item Three: “Rascal” Compact Bolt-Action Rifle for Kids – Just $174
Savage says: “You’ve seen other micro-sized guns but not one like this. It is safer (manual safety, accutrigger and can be unloaded without pulling the trigger). It’s easier to use (feed ramp, cocks on bolt lift) and it’s more accurate — given its accutrigger and adjustable peep sights. The “Rascal” will be available in several colors, to be determined later. Suggested retail is a mere $174.00.
NEW ITEM Two: Stevens Model 320 Shotgun
This is the new Stevens Model 320 Security Pump. It features a pistol grip stock, rotary bolt and Ghost Ring sights. Suggested retail is $260. Whoa — at that price, Savage is going to sell a ton of these if it proves reliable. People will be jazzed by the pistol grip stock and Ghost Rings. If you want a standard stock (which is actually more ergonomic for many folks), Stevens offers that as well (lower photo).
NEW ITEM One: Trophy Hunter XP Packages
These come with a 3-9×40 Nikon BDC scope, which is a considerable upgrade over previous packages we have offered. These scopes are compatible with Nikon’s proprietary Spot-On ballistic software. We anticipate actual sales prices to be $499.00 to $599.00 for the blue/syn, $549.00 to $649.00 for blue/wood and $599.00 to $699.00 for stainless/synthetic.

I’m just sick and tired of the monopoly and hegemony of F-book over our very existences. Do not forget that F-book was deeply involved and instrumental in securing the Hussein B. Obama campaign!
Dude! Get thee to a psychiatrist.
I’m waiting for the “exciting” firearms to come out. Still waiting…
@John S You seem to be the “glass is half empty” kind of guy…
Where is the Left handed Target action we all wanted to see for 2011? Please surprise me at the Shot Show in January.
Oh it would be so easy….
Nat Lambeth
Agreed Nat, I am sick and tired of seeing all these sexy Eliseo S-1 rifles on the line and not one damn one in southpaw configuration !!! For some reason the chasis system on the savage just “out looks” the sleved look of the R-5 or R-1 to me. I been waiting patiently. . .and waiting. . .and waiting. . .
Big letdown thus far….
Not real sure about the resat of you fellas, but i for one am kinda disappointed. Down right boring to be honest. All this hype for Nov 2 and this is what it was all about. Bummer man!! Lee
RAWWWWWWRRR, Edsel, now thats funny. Truth be told, I never considered a Savage action for anything until I saw Gary Elesio’s ability to work CNC magic on aluminum billets and transform a sows ear into a silk purse. That and the fact that it is fairly cheap and comes with an acceptable trigger from jump street. The only weakness of the savage action is the extractor now IMHO.
Buy a BAT & cry once…….

@John There is such a thing as thinking positivley… Isn’t there something on this sight worth posting something positive about?
Ignore the troll. He’s just being a snob.
No5 might finally be a winner….but still too much hype.
@John S, you provide no information WHY Savage is junk. if you dont like this site then just leave…
Savage is out to make money… keep that in mind. They need product lines like shown above to make the bank, then they can supply the smaller/less-profitable markets.
I’d love to see left-handed target actions as much as everyone else, but that’s a very small market compared to what all of the above products are targeting. I think they’re doing a good job of expanding into “new demographics,” but that’s risky in its self… what happens if their new models don’t sell, or don’t draw in the group of consumers they’re aiming at? I guess that’s a question asked every time a company reaches out to a new market/demographic.
