Top Shot Season 4 Premiere Episode on History.com
If you missed the first episode of Top Shot Season 4, you can still watch the full show on the History Channel’s website, History.com. This season, Top Shot ramps up the action, with more demanding challenges, and a larger arsenal of military-style rifles, including machine guns. And the eliminations are more ruthless than ever. Two contestants, both pistol champions, are sent packing in the first 15 minutes, after they fail to deliver the goods with an M1A (semi-auto version of M14 battle rifle). (This is not the first time handgun guys failed because they lacked solid rifle skills.) Over 2.2 million viewers watched the Season 4 premiere of Top Shot. When i clicked on the video is says not available in your area as, Living in australia we get this a lot. And it is very annoying!
Being a competitive shooter that lives in australia it seem stupid like we have some sort of internet censorship and we shouldn’t be allowed to view this stuff. im not grumpy just very disappointed.
Understand your frustration. This is not “censorship” per se — it has to do with worldwide distribution rights and advertising contracts. FYI, last year you could watch Top Shot “re-runs” on Hulu.com, but no more. As the show increases in popularity, History looks like it is tightening up the repeat rights. I suspect the overseas streaming was blocked so that History Channel could deliver advertisers a 100% North American audience.
The pistol guys often fail when confronted with peep or ghost ring sights. This contributed Mike Hughes getting hung up in stage 3 of the last challenge in the TS3 Finale. I also noted that at least one of those who shot poorly rested the gas tube rather than the stock of the M1A on the sandbag. The M1A is very unforgiving of that error. As David Fortier said in one of his articles: The M1A will gleefully pound apart a shoddy shooting position.
