New Box Magazine Bottom Metal for Rem Actions
Here’s an early product story from SHOT Show. Glen Seekins of Seekins Precision announced that he is producing a new detachable magazine system for Remingtons. This combines new bottom metal with a fitted magazine. Five sizes are offered: short action .223 (2.5″), short action .308 (2.9″), WSM (3.05″), long/magnum action (3.65″), and .338 Lapua (3.9″). Glen cautions the system may require small alteration of factory BDL inlets. Pillars will be included in the kit.
Seekins hopes to start shipping the first run of magazine systems by mid-February. Retail price is $289.99 with one 5-round magazine. Extra mags will be $59-69 depending on caliber. For now, only 5-round mags are available. 10-round mags will be produced at a later date for most calibers.
Very nice. I have Glenn’s base and a set of rings and both are excellent. I prefer his products to Badger Ordnance’s (that’s not a shot at Marty, I own his rings, bases and speed knob as well). Looking for a new DBM and I’ve been holding off on BO’s for this one.
Glen Seekins produces some of the finest rings and bases available. He worked very closely with the shooting community to come up with this design. I plan on buying a few, and have FULL CONFIDENCE in the quality and customer service those who have dealt with him have come to expect, THE BEST!! Good luck with this Glen!! I was wondering if 10 round magazines were available for the short action 223 bottom metal conversion(model 700 Tactical)?

I was wondering if you make a detachable magazine for a model 700 sps for a 300 ultra mag. I don’t like the bottom plate release inside the trigger housing… or are you planning on ever offering it? thanks Jay
