Midsouth Now Carries Full Line of Norma Brass and Ammunition
As you may know, Norma is working hard to make its products more readily available in the USA. Norma has put a new distribution system in place, and quality Norma ammunition and cartridge brass is now carried by many major vendors. Leading the way is Midsouth Shooters’ Supply, which now stocks a full selection of Norma brass and a large inventory of Norma loaded ammunition. Most of the Norma cartridge brass types now come in 25-unit boxes. This allows you to try out the Norma brass without breaking the bank. For example, 25 pieces of Norma 6mm PPC brass (item 013-10260105) costs just $20.25. You can “buy it and try it” without a big up-front investment.

That’s great. I checked the prices and I am psyched that I can get great .222 brass for $13/25 pieces. Plus I can now buy the small count boxes to have quality brass around for my Mauser’s and K31. I’ve already experienced the difference Norma brass makes in my 6.5×55 Encore. I will be using their brass exclusively from now on. For me, they hit this new launch out of the park.
How does the Norma compare to Lapua?
I’m thinking of using it for my K31 and Sako .300 WinMag, which I can’t get in Lapua.
Norma and Lapua are very similar in terms of quality. I will try to explain why I feel Norma is better. I have used both in loads for the 6.5×55. Norma has thinner necks, which I find to be more uniform in thickness. I get the impression that Lapua intends for people to turn the necks of their brass, which I don’t do. I haven’t noticed a difference in case life. After about 10 full length resizing, no failed cases for either. The main reason I choose Norma is my groups end up .25″ smaller than when I load cartridges with Lapua. This is with extensive load development. It probably has something to do with the difference in neck tension. Anyway, I hope I answered your question. I get my .222 barrel back today and I am anxious to see what Norma Brass will do for that cartridge.
Now if they only carried 30BR I would be a very happy camper.
I am looking for ammo or brass to load in 6.5×68. Thanks for your help. GWF
