Important Video About UK and Australian Gun Laws
Whatever your politics, you owe it to yourself to learn more about the restrictive firearm laws adopted in the United Kingdom and Australia. These have effectively banned hand-gun and semi-auto rifle ownership in the UK. In Australia self-loading rifles and even pump shotguns were banned, and hand-gun ownership was severely restricted. In this 10-minute video, gun owners in the UK and Australia tell their own story. The message is clear–without unified, organized opposition by sportsmen and hunters, gun rights will be taken away. In the UK, even shotguns and 22LR pistols used by Olympic competitors have been banned. Think it can’t happen here? Well already in California, new sales of semi-auto AR15-style service rifles are completely banned.

And don’t forget Brazilian gun laws!
After some 15 years of increasingly restrictive gun laws, the last one was rejected after a national public consult that would ban the sales of all firearms forever in Brazil.
We only get to maintain our right to buy and sell firearms, against a strong Governement and Midia campaingn, after all shooting/hunting/comerce gun and outdoor comunity got toghether and unify forces.
From october 2005 until now we, gun owners, got some new laws regaining some ground on this battle.
Moderator you are absolutely right: people on US, dont ever think it cant happen in US! This is exactly what Argentinians though until some years ago… now they are fighting hard against restrictive and gun ban lasws in their traditionally (ex) liberal country.
PS – Sorry any erron in English.
As an Australian I was fortunate enough to spend two years living and working in the USA. I joined a local club in Virginia which required NRA membership as a condition of membership. At the club induction day they required all new members to watch this video.
I can tell you it was a sobering experience being an Aussie sitting in that audience. The NRA has got it absolutely spot on that holding a united front and accepting no compromise is the only way to survive.
Registration is the first step toward confiscation. We should have drawn the line in the sand back then. After that, it’s too late. Once that happens, the abilty to regain lost rights becomes exponentially more difficult.
Watch the video and make sure your friends watch it too.
As an Australian shooter,I urge all US shooters regardless of their shooting interests to make sure that THEY are active and financial members of the NRA.
Or they will will be like us in having to have a permit for a Red Ryder BB gun !

Mike.
