FREE Point Blank Ballistics Software
The HuntingNut.com website offers Point Blank Ballistics and Reloading software free of charge. That’s right, the program is absolutely free, forever — not just for a trial period. We use Point Blank all the time, not just to calculate come-ups and windage for our rifles, but also to compare ballistics among various chamberings, or to compare different bullets. With Point Blank it is easy to just change your bullet BC value and instantly see the effect on windage and drop. Point Blank will even calculate muzzle energy and recoil force. Point Blank will also hold all your reloading info in a built-in database. You enter the caliber (chambering), bullet, powder, velocity, and other important variables. Then you can quickly access hundreds of different load combinations.

(Note: this 1.13mb file is for Windows computers; you need WinZip or other program to unzip the file archive.)
You can even use Point Blank to plot your shots on a test target. This way you can easily compare the accuracy of different “recipes” during load development. You can record up to 10 shots per target.
I have enjoyed using P. B. B., however I find the pages to small and I couldn`t enlarge them.
I’ve been using this program for a coupler years now and it’s incredibly accurate. I test potential loads on the program first and then try the ones that show potential in real life. Brian
I can not down load the computer ballistics soft ware?? any ideas
Editor: Worked fine for us this morning. Check your anti-virus software. It may be blocking the .zip file containing the program:

Sam,
Your chart is OK. However, you probably want to fill in the “Target Distance” box with “100” for a 100-yard zero. You’ve got it set up for the default 250-yard ZERO with the scope 1.5″ over the bore axis. I think if you set the values for target distance = “100” the numbers will look more “normal”.
heelo
when I saved a TXT file
max. 800 yards, but I can see 1,000 yards
what wrong?
thanks u
With regards to the first comment above. I recently got a new computer and went from running Windows XP to Windows 7 and have the same small size pages on the newer operating system.
It looks to be a good program. Would you please look into coding it for the Macintosh (OS X)?
Get bootcamp so you can run windows software.
I really wish this was compatible to a Mac.
HOW CAN I OPEN THE TRAJECT PROGRAM. HAVING TROUBLE WILL NOT OPEN.
Hello folks, visit http://www.HuntingNut.com for the brand new 2.0 version of PointBlank. Its completely re-written and is much easier to use than the older version

Thanks for the update!
We’re rolling out a completely updated site next week and I’ve updated our Ballistics page with a new to the new PointBlank Version 2.0. I like PointBlank and use it because of its simplicity and ability to hold multiple loads for each caliber. Is it precise. Gets me to 600 yards within two clicks of prediction for BT bullets in any temp.
Any plans for the MAC format? I love this program but it’s a pain with VMFusion on my MacBook. I just want it to work on my MacBook Pro.

I have used version 1.8 for years, had my computer crash, and restored most of my load data, then upgraded to 2.0 and find the user interface to be extremely comfusing and i can no longer access ANY of my load data or ANY of my firearms data! Very dis-satisfied! V1.8 downgrade PLEASE!
EDITOR: Charles, I haven’t had the troubles you mention with 2.0, but I agree that version 1.8 was refreshingly simple. Charles, I’m still running v. 1.8a on one older laptop machine and as you say, it works fine. I’ve got the v. 1.8 installer from 2006 if that can assist you. I don’t know if it is compatible with the latest Windows OS though.
It just may help. I’m running on windows XP still so I think it should work.
Why aren’t 9mm Luger, .380 etc included in the list of calibers?
Free software link is old. New location is http://huntingnut.com/index.php?name=PointBlank
EDITOR: Thanks for the tip. We’ve updated the links effective 7/7/2012.
I am willing to give you a donation for
v1.8 download.
My computer crashed and need to rebuild
my system.
would prefer to have v1.8 on disk incase this happens again.
— Thank You –
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD VERSION 1.8 ? MY COM0UTER CRASHED AND I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW 2.0 VERSION.
How has the 2.0 been working on Windows 10? Installed over windows 8 on an all in one Lenovo B50 computer.
I keep getting Dangerous download from Macafee. Turned off and tried with administrator privileges. Still wont extract all the files. No corrupted file warning showing.
With the updated Point Blank 2.0 program I can not print trajectory charts for an individual rifle. When I print I get the curves for the 5 five rifles I have input data on, How do I get the data to print for just one of the 5 rifles?
I switched computers and cannot get my old database to load. How do I do this?
